Germany gradually begins to breathe a sigh of relief after “suffocating Corona measures”
On Monday, authorities in several regions of Germany began easing restrictive measures imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic, and opened shops and museums, local authorities said.
The decision to lift some restrictions was taken at a meeting of Chancellor Angela Merkel with leaders of the German states on March 3.
The authorities agreed that from March 8, in regions with a low infection rate, it is possible to begin to relax the system of restrictive measures, which was put in place on November 2, 2020.
At the same time, a mechanism of “emergency braking” is provided, if the rate of infection in the designated area increases in three days to a certain level.
